Nature’s Trail
Waterford Artist Amy Furlong has designed an interactive DVD
entitled ‘Nature’s Trail’ based on a variety of scenes from nature which
aims to stimulate socialisation among people with mental health problems and
older people, and provide a form of distraction for those in health care
settings. Four scenes – Glendalough, Hook Penninsula, Wild Fowl Reserve and
Carnivan Beach – can be voluntarily selected by clients. Amy is currently
facilitating sessions with the staff and clients of St. Otteran’s Hospital and
Pine Grove Day Care Centre based on ‘Nature’s Trail’.
