Laura Fitzgerald
Laura Fitzgerald was based in a studio in the WHAT Centre for Arts and Health from January to June 2009.
Working with various different media, Laura’s work looks at notions of memory and relationships between individuals. During her residency Laura visited most departments within Waterford Regional Hospital and asked people to share a memory with her that she then drew. These drawings contributed to the body of work entitled Once Upon a Time that were on display in Waterford Regional Hospital and the WHAT Centre for Arts & Health from 25th June - 13th August. This exhibition also toured to the Index gallery, Central Library, Lady's Lane, Waterford from the 16th to 31st August.
