Irish harp scholar Jill Devlin at UHW

Soothing harp sounds at UHW foyer , Tues 25 June Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) will present a lunchtime performance of Irish harp music by local harp scholar Jill Devlin as part of its Healing Sounds programme in the foyer of University Hospital Waterford (UHW) on Tuesday 25 June at 1.15pm.  Admission is free and all are welcome.  Healing Sounds in the Foyer is a programme of monthly live music performances which aims to promote the positive relationship between music, health and wellbeing and to reduce stress and anxiety for patients, visitors and staff.  This programme is kindly sponsored by AIB Ardkeen.  

Harp scholar Jill Devlin is sure to enchant patients staff and visitors with the soothing sound of the traditional Irish harp at her UHW debut. A native of Tramore, Jill  has just completed her final year in music (BA hons) at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT),  and has collected many accolades for her skilful approach to the harp, including receiving the 2019 Bridget Doolan Memorial Music Award. Jill, along with her student peers, also re-established the WIT Traditional Irish Music Society. She currently works with Music Generation Waterford and Klub Muzik (Tramore) as a tutor and provides tuition and guidance to newcomers to the harp whilst also maintaining a live performance presence around Waterford City and County.
