Staff Art Wall: Lilian O’Neill

Beloved, an exhibition of beautiful watercolours.

Lilian O’Neill worked as a radiographer for many years at University Hospital Waterford.  She was born in the Czech Republic in 1939 and at the age of about ten she moved to the UK with her family.  A few years later the family relocated to Ireland when Lilian was a teenager.

She always had a passion for art and even though she spent her career working in the medical field which she loved, in her free time and especially in her retirement years, she returned to her first passion.

Sadly, Lilian passed away in 2015.  Her family continue to enjoy and be inspired by her artwork.

Beloved will be on view from 3 May to 28 June.

Lilian’s paintings are not for sale.

The Staff Art Wall project is an initiative of Waterford Healing Arts Trust which aims to celebrate the creativity of HSE staff by providing an opportunity to display their work at the hospital. Further details are available from 051 842664.
