The Poetry Exchange

5 Poets. 5 Days. 30 Phone Calls.

It’s The Poetry Exchange, brand new for Well 2020!

Would you, or an older person you know, like to receive a phone call from a poet and to have them read your favourite poem to you? Five Waterford based poets will ‘man the exchange’ for one day each and will read two uplifting poems to each participant – the requested poem and one of their own – and the participant can share their thoughts and responses.  Poetry as Gaeilge is, cinnte, also available.

To register for your free phone call, please contact Waterford Healing Arts Trust (051) 842664 / what@hse.ie

The Poetry Exchange is inspired by The Poetry Line, an initiative of Poetry Ireland.

The Poetry Exchange poets are

Lani O’Hanlon (Monday 11am-1pm)

Fergus Hogan (Tues 2pm-4pm)

Mark Roper (Wed 2pm-4pm)

Aine Ui Fhoghlu (Thurs 2pm-4pm)

The Poetry Exchange is part of Renew: Arts and Older People, a new strand of the Well Festival for 2020, funded by Creative Ireland.
