Meet Liam Kavanagh! A talented musician and maker, Liam has been part of the Waterford Healing Arts Healing Sounds team since 2019. Along with his fellow musicians, Liam brings live music to patients at University Hospital Waterford (UHW) sharing comfort and connection through tunes and songs. But Liam’s creativity doesn’t stop at music. A lifelong maker, he has a special love for origami, a passion beautifully showcased in his first-ever Staff Art Wall exhibition. He is captivated by the gentle, constant movement of a well-balanced mobile: a quiet expression of balance and beauty. Liam’s exhibition runs until 14 January 2026.
All artworks in this exhibition have already sold out! But the good news is, Liam can recreate many of his designs. Each piece remains a true one-off, with no two ever exactly alike. For enquires you can contact Liam at: liamdkavanagh@gmail.com
The Staff Art Wall is an initiative of Waterford Healing Arts which aims to celebrate the creativity of staff working at UHW by providing an opportunity to display their work at the hospital. If you work at UHW and would like to exhibit your art on the Staff Art Wall, please contact: (051) 842664 or info@realta.ie
