Laura Grimes is based in the Laboratory Department at University Hospital Waterford. This is her fourth time exhibiting on the Staff Art Wall. Her exhibition runs until 30 September 2025.
A life-long creative, Laura has focused on painting for over 25 years. Laura undertook her formal visual art training at the National College of Art & Design and at the Royal Hibernian Academy. She has exhibited widely, and her work is held in private collections both nationally and Internationally.
This exhibition, Nothing, Yet Everything, explores the quiet beauty of the ordinary. Each painting centres around humble rocks Laura gathered from Tramore beach: objects that reveal unexpected beauty and worth when closely observed and gently reframed. Through tonal painting and subtle glazing, these works reflect on how meaning is shaped by context, memory, and care. They invite the viewer to pause, to look again, and to reconsider what we value — and why.
All artworks are for sale. Further info: info@realta.ie /051-842664.
