Farewell Sunset: photographic exhibition opens on Staff Art Wall at UHW

Farewell Sunset, Geraldine Duffin’s final photographic exhibition on the Staff Art Wall is currently on display at University Hospital Waterford (UHW). This collection of images reflects Geraldine’s love of the outdoors and, in particular, the Hook Peninsula in County Wexford. The exhibition continues until 11 January 2023. The Staff Art Wall is managed by Waterford Healing Arts Trust and aims to celebrate the creativity of staff working at UHW by providing an opportunity to display their work at the hospital. All artworks are for sale. Further details from www.waterfordhealingarts.com or 051 842664.

Geraldine works as a Healthcare Assistant at University Hospital Waterford. She enjoys her work and finds it very rewarding. Speaking about her photographs, Geraldine says, “in my spare time, I like nothing more than going off and taking pictures of our beautiful landscape and, of course, I’ve also a big love of cars, both rally and vintage.”

Reflecting on her many exhibitions on the Staff Art Wall over the years, Geraldine added “I’d like to thank Waterford Healing Arts for showcasing my photos over the years. They have been a great supporter of my art. The title of my last exhibition here is aptly named Farewell Sunset, as I am retiring in the New Year.”

Waterford Healing Arts wishes Geraldine all the very best for a happy and fulfilling retirement, richly deserved.
